Charlotte Pop Fest is a music festival that features artists in the “power pop” genre. The 2nd annual event took place September 24-26, 2009. Proceeds benefit the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason & Science.

Dr. Richard Dawkins will be speaking on “The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution” on Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 7 p.m. in Dana Auditorium on the Queens University of Charlotte campus.
Richard Dawkins is internationally known as a scientist and as a writer on what science indicates about religious be...lief. Perhaps most known as the author of the best-selling "The God Delusion", Dawkins is a Fellow of the Royal Society and, until recently, held the Charles Simonyi Chair of Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He is the acclaimed author of many books including "The Selfish Gene", "The Blind Watchmaker", "Climbing Mount Improbable", "Unweaving the Rainbow", "The Ancestor’s Tale", and "The God Delusion". He will be talking about his latest book "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution", and books will be available for sale and signing by the author immediately after the talk.
