Children Battling Cancer, Inc. CBC heads to Joe DiMaggio Hospital Weds to deliver 75 boxes! Another 20 are going to Gildas Cancer Club on Sat. We are excited and exhausted! The boxes are heavy. Filled with food and overflowing with love. CBS 4 reporter Jorge Estevez came to film a piece on the boxes. It airs Friday at 6pm. He was here to do the Spirit Jump piece, eyed the boxes, asked what they were for, so here we are doing a piece for CBC.

The Thanksgiving Blessings in a Box are starting to come in and they are just beautiful! Our living room was full today! We will post some pictures soon!
West Broward High National Honors Society made a bunch. What creative decorations and nice cards included.
We delivered the first 25 boxes to Gildas Cancer Club ton...ight. That was an awesome experience and all we did was drop them off.
We loaded them into the kids play area called Noogieland. There was a volunteer there doing a craft with about 5 or 6 beautiful little kids that have lost a parent to cancer. The other parent was upstairs in a bereavement group. We decided those kids are children battling cancer as well. They are just battling it from another angle. So they will get boxes too!
Please keep them coming in. We expect and are hoping to collect over 100 this weekend and early next week. They will be delivered to Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital and individual homes Weds and Thursday.
Any volunteers local to drive and help deliver? We need you!
We still need gift cards in $10.00 increments to add to the boxes towards the purchase of the Turkey. The boxes include everything else needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.Read More

The cool thing is that doing this piece inspired our organization, Children Battling Cancer, Inc. to get involved further. So CBC we now will be Spirit Jumpers too! Not only for the kids featured on the Spirit Jump site but for the moms and dads of the kids as well. We are so excited to be a part of this great organization dedicated to lifting the Spirits of cancer patients.
Become a jumper too! It is easy and free. It doesn't cost anything to lift someone's spirits. Okay, so maybe it costs a postage stamp...but that's all!
And this will certainly be one of those situations that defines the truth that "it is more blessed to give than receive." Let me add to that..it is even more blessed to give to a complete stranger than it is to receive from an close friend.
