Chris Arnott Just had the best cab driver! Asked what was in my bag, so I told him it was my CDs. He made me put it on and explain what the song was about. When he dropped me off he asked what I charged for the record, waived the fare and GAVE me $10. Gold.

This Thursday see two of Australia's finest young Songwriters perform at the beautiful Trades Hall in Carlton.
The Doors open at 8pm

After playing around small venues and busking about town he started to come out of his shell to play at larger establishments such as the Basement, the Annandale and the Supper Club ...and has supported artists such as Saving Grace, Alice Terry and Abby Dobson. He even played at the 2008 Pai Reggae Festival in Thailand. His recent seven track EP "Shooting Ships and Sinking Stars" is absolutley stunning. Produced by Josh Schuberth (session drummer for Paul Green and Josh Pyke) at Love Hz studios in Leichhardt, his expectations have never been higher.

Songwriter, producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist.
Melding ethereal production with a raw vocal ability that draws fitting comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and 90s Seattle, Chris Arnott’s carefully crafted songs play on the heart and mind of the listener with insightful lyrics and catchy melodies.
Although Chris’ solo work represents a new beginning for the songwriter, he is no stranger to the music industry having played for years in many bands around the country and having recorded his first record withthe band 'LOKI' when he just 15.
The move towards a more thought-provoking, introspective style of music is an evolutionary step Chris felt was necessary to connect on a deeper level with his audience and allow him to continue his developement as a producer.
2009 has seen Chris continually touring nationally and abroad on the back of his releases "Conversations" EP, and "Beauty Of Mind" the first single from his forthcoming debut album .
While the "Conversations" EP featured musicians from all over Australia in a live setting Chris is always blurring the lines between organic and electronic production and these two elements always finds their way onstage married in an exciting and captivating way.
