Chris Singleton and the Distractions rely on the support of people like you to make, play and distribute music. Please do as much as you can to help out and support quality independent music.

The poster for the O2 gig at LondonLike a lot of musicians, I doubt I'd have picked up a guitar if I hadn't heard the Beatles' music as a child...

Chris Singleton I enjoyed the McCartney gig but a few real strings and brass wouldn't have gone amiss...rather than the tacky keyboard sounds we got. If he could afford real bagpipes (and lots of them) for Mull of Kintyre, I'm sure he could fork out for a cello and a trumpet. In fact he's got nearly a billion quid - I KNOW he could fork out for a cello and a trumpet.

Chris Singleton That's cool, 800 Facebook fans. I fank you. Now if you all buy my new album when it comes out I might be able to get a haircut.

The saga of my artwork for Lady Gasoline continues. Since you all helped me so much with shaping the cover, thought you might like to look at a mock-up of the inlay...

Just a quick note to remind people of the Betsey Trotwood gig tomorrow, 2 December at 8pm.It now features 3 acts:- yours truly: www.singletonmusic.com- a brilliant folk duo James and Amy: www.jamesandamy.com- my backing singer and top folk soul brother John Gibbons: www.folksoulbrother.comIt'll be...

Apologies for bombarding you all with all these art-related questions. But based on your feedback (and of course my own personal preferences) we've narrowed things down quite a lot. I'd like to ask you one more time about concepts...

Well, when I asked you for your initial views on my artwork ideas for the next album cover...you inconveniently picked the wild card - the idea involving the rather saucy pair of boots. But I'm listening to you, so I've played around with the idea and mocked up some more boot-related / minimalist...

£7 at the door.
An acoustic Christmas show!
Time:8:00PM Wednesday, December 2nd
Location:Betsey Trotwood London

For quite a while now the media has been doing a good job of convincing us all that the Tories are on their way back to power...

Getting ever closer to the release of 'Lady Gasoline', my next album.I'm now at the stage where we're trying to finalise artwork ideas...

Hi all, couple of ting-tings:
1) You might want to check out my messageboard at http://www.singletonmusic.com/messageboa rd/ where people are currently discussing Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Nick Griffin and Gordon Brown (no, they're not forming a band). Join in if you feel like it.
2) There's some new music available -... though not a new album - in my online store, http://www.singletonmusic.com/store/
Hope you are all keeping well.
Toodle Pip for now.
