Church World Service Catherine Amina, 18, of Ndithini, Kenya, has begun her own business with the help of a micro-loan from CWS. "My businesses are a big success. With this money I am now able to care for my 3 sisters & my grandparents & to pay the school fees for 1 of my sisters so she can become a doctor & start a hospital in our villag...e." The CWS-supported Giving Hope program helps young people orphaned by HIV/AIDS, by war or genocide, empowering them to continue their education, grow food or start small businesses. Church World Service Amid the chaos of the floods, it is the children of Pakistan who are the most vulnerable. CWS is focusing on the needs of children, the elderly & women-headed households as we get help to those who need it most.

“Children and women are suffering from paranoia. They are thinking about getting shelter, not about education,” said Shahbaz Khan Barozai, Risaldaar Levies (Federal) Sibi District, Balochistan.
