During last week's special session of the Legislature, the Senate failed to consider the Marriage Equality Bill. Since then, Senate Democrats have made a promise to bring the legislation to a vote this year - and now's the time for that to happen.

We grew up at a time and place where you could fall asleep without a worry in the world. We felt proud of working for wages and paying our taxes. Gradually, something happened. Many are still not aware of anything out of the ordinary. They watch cartoons, movies, or sports team and are unaware of the changing America. Greed, hunger for power, and declining values, ethics, morals, are changing the face of America. I was taught that if I worked hard I could achieve almost anything. If there was something I wanted, I worked for it. Today it seems that the government is willing to give you anything -so why work for it. Unemployed, no problem, here’s a check. No insurance? No problem - take the public option. Want a house? Take out a loan, no collateral needed. Need money? The rebate check is in the mail. Don’t want it? Take it anyway. better yet, get in line over here. Business failing? Here is a bail out complete with bonuses, In this country illegally? Here’s amnesty. For all this, I will need your vote next November. Did I hear you ask where all this money is coming from? Oh, didn’t you know every thing comes from China these days. Pay back? No problem your kids will handle that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m for helping anyone who is unable to fend for him or herself. However, I have little sympathy for those who are unwilling to help themselves.
Ask yourself a few simple questions.
Would you borrow more than you could ever pay back?
Would you spend more than you have?
Would you loan to some one money you had to borrow? ... See More
Would you charge your children more than they could ever pay back?
Would you agree to something knowing that the other person would not hold up his part of the promise?
Would you tax a company so much that they would have to lay people off or go out of business.
How about giving money to those that are unwilling to help themselves, thus encouraging them to not even try.
Would you agree to something without reading what you are agreeing to.
Would you hire someone and let them decide how much they will get paid without any accountability?
Would you stand by and allow election fraud without becoming outraged?
Would you hold a meeting without both parties involved present.
Why would you allow anyone to move into your house who didn’t belong there, is it not true about your country also?
Would you make your grand children pay for your debt?

Sound familiar? When is this madness going to stop? The answer, it’s not, unless you and people like you get up the courage to say enough is enough.

Listen I went to Raleigh NC for a freedom rally this week. Last week I went to Washington at the capitol. Did I want to? No! were there other things I would rather do? Yes! However I was compelled to for my grandchildren and yours. We are in a time when we must all do things we don't particularly like doing but those who died for our freedom didn't really want to die but for us they did . Now it's our turn to stand up so get off the couch and start marching for freedom. Talk to your friends and if they still don't listen then they are not your friends but keep talking anyway. We are in a real fight for our freedom and don’t you forget it.
God bless you America, I will not let you down!

afraid of zombies, werewovles and vampies this year - it's big

Scaring folks around the country this year is the possibility of not winning real health care reform. As both the House and Senate prepare to vote on their health care bills, many Members of Congress remain undecided or against real reform.

Citizen Action of New York There's a public option in the Senate health care bill - and it's because of the work of our own Senator Schumer. As recently as last week, Leader Harry Reid indicated that there wouldn't be a public option. Senator Schumer worked with his colleagues to make sure it was included. Take a minute right now to thank Senato...r Schumer for fighting for our best interest!

Our Senator, Chuck Schumer, was a guiding force in achieving this success. He has championed the public option in the Senate, and pushed hard to make sure it ended up in the final bill.

Citizen Action of New York Over the past year, banks have taken nearly $5 trillion in taxpayer bailouts and backstops. The bailout funds were supposed to get money flowing to Main Street again, but instead the banks have used them to pay out billions in bonuses and return to the same excessive risk-taking that caused the crisis in the first plac...e.

Wall Street needs to hear us loud and clear. They crashed our economy. We bailed them out. They took care of themselves. Now it's time for them to fix what they broke - it's time for them to invest in our communities.
