Inaugural ceremonies in Newburyport and Amesbury today will bring in a number of new leaders tasked with shepherding local municipalities through what's expected to be some challenging financial times.
City of Newburyport, Massachusetts The city's new mayor, members of the city council, and school committee will be sworn-in during an Inauguration Day ceremony set to begin on Monday, January 4 at 10AM in City Hall auditorium. The event is expected to last about an hour, and is open to the public. If you're unable to attend, print and TV media will be there to take notes and broadcast.
