Art Sammond Saw the episode "Operation Clark Howard" this past weekend. Favorite part was about making a razor lasting 6 months. My wife heard him on the radio saying he is on 8 months now with it.
I just started tracking my usage...Wish me luck!

I never purchase extended warranty, and could have only probably used it for one thing: my PCs, which I just go to CompUSA for the parts I need & fix myself. Other electronic devices aren't as proned to failure. PCs are so easy to fix yourself, & parts so cheap to get, extended warranties for them are a waste. Good to know about credit cards though, even though I don't carry them any more. Credit cards & I don't get along too well. :-P

Clark, I just received an email offering me a job (from home, no less) that would pay me $2,000/month. They stated, "BBK Group was incorporated in 2003 to provide a better level of service to firms and individuals who need to send money internationally. Recently we have been receiving plenty of applications from custom...ers over the US. We are strongly interested to grant the best services and in the shortest dates to overcome all the difficulties that are likely to appear. Due to a certain problems concerning international transactions delays and high taxes, we've decided to establish position of Customer Manager to facilitate the process." With a little research, I found this link that proves that the "job offer" is a scam! http://www.bobbear.co.uk/bbk-group.html
For people out there who are as anxious about getting work out there, as I am, be forewarned about this scam!!!

When computers go down, airlines shut down...so I guess biometric doors can too. Oh, give me a home where the latch key works fine.

James Burrowbridge Bobo We had a water leak under the slab of our home. It is a loop plumbing system. Called our insurance, they said "it is not covered because the foundation is not part of the house". We since then got it fixed but i feel cheated. What do you think? Can i do anything?

Not true! you can't build a house without a foundation. Wasn't the foundation part of the house-design-plan when permits were issued to build your home. Call a builder and ask. Call your state insurance commissioner or a lawyer.

I own a condo, and when I had a leak under the slab, the condo association covered the plumber and the rug people.
I guess I am lucky. BUT, waiting for it to happen again. What a mess
