We did my son's 1st haircut about a month ago at 18 months... more traumatic and scary for him but badly needed.Kenzie's was exciting at age 3 although I'm still sad about losing those long curls! The bob is adorable though!

My first daugter has been getting her hair cut since she was like 1 she had so much, mainly just bangs and a trim to the back. but she will only let me do it. My 2nd is 7 months old and a bald baby poor girl! lol
No one wants to be that "Parent" who pressures their kids, but on the flip side, sometimes our children need encouragement when it comes to trying new things. Especially when they're little. We all know new social situations can be scary...

i cannot remember the author, but the book (small), "microwaves are for cooking" ...johnathan ? fabray...i think... he used to have tv show in pbs. you can do wonders with a micowave. i got that 1 book and it is hidden among all my other books. the tv show had the same name. was on about 20 years ago.

Yikes! Nestle is voluntarily recalling their refrigerated cookie doughs because of a possible E. coli link due to eating the raw dough! Just throw that dough out (or return it to the store for a refund) because according to the FDA eating recalled, baked dough is not safe either...

Yes - you can get a Refund at your local grocer or store if you bring in the package of dough. You shouldn't need your receipt. I have 2 packages and I need to do the same!

I also am a gastric bypass person and I always had a hard time getting enough protien, I started eating hard boiled eggs. I could take them to work with me and snack on em when ever i could. I also have a lot of beef jerkey. I know its high in sodium but high in protien also and another easy thing when i was working to keep at my desk to grab a piece here and there.
Attention parents! Another scary recall as I know I use a ton of hand sanitizer on my kids. The FDA has found that some Clarcon skin products contain bacteria that may make you sick...
The kids are having a blast at the beach. Kyle loves the surf and Kenzie is channeling Ariel in this mermaid tail that Dad created for her. She is pretty fab at mimicking Ariel's tune as well. Very cute.

That sounds fun. My husband is taking my kids to town today to go to McDonald, which my kids love and to the beach. My husband is gone all week and living with my parents all week. He is going back to college being laid off. I'm actually getting to be home by myself for once. No kids, funny huh?
