It's good to see that New Moon is better than the first. I've been debating if I should spend money on the flick or get it at the public library when it comes out on DVD. Right now, I'm still undecided.

Creative Loafing Atlanta Gucci Mane returns to jail, leaving canceled concerts and his career uncertainty in his wake. What's to become of the incarcerated, Atlanta-bred rapper?

Gucci is a very talented artist. People shouldn't bash him because "he's another rapper in jail". A lot of rappers are in jail for parole violation, not because they went on a mass murder spree or anything. Drug possession is what win them a parole officer. Plenty of people violate their parole and nobody jumps on them about it. He turned himself ... Read Morein and he is serving his time. Get off his nuts. And I am sorry, but "Your readers don't give a crap"- I beg to differ. I could understand why a grown adult wouldn't care, but there are a lot of teens and young adults who "do give a crap" and DO read Creative Loafing. So, Thank you, Creative Loafing for covering stories that my generation would like to read unlike where to find new restaurants and where to take your kids for a nice Saturday afternoon.

not questioning his talent but i wont go boohoo over stuff that these guys bring on themselves. they hv careers that some folks would kill to be in and blow it due to stupidity. their fans should view it as a warning more than anything but i am honestly tired of hearing abt their bad breaks esp those that are self induced.

Creative Loafing Atlanta Legislature voted yesterday to propose a public referendum to legalize horse racing (and gambling on races) in the state. Can Georgia do it classy, or should we not do it at all?

I give it a FAIL, too. I worked on a research brief that went before the GA legislature years ago re: legalization of various types of gambling. horse racing isn't good for anyone - it attracts mostly in-state folks who probably shouldn't spend their $ betting. It isn't good for the horses. And it certainly isn't good for Georgia. If we want to ... Read Morelegalize gambling for the purposes of filling our tax coffers, it had better be true casino-style - the only kind shown to actually recapture revenue from casino-goers across the entire southeast!

Creative Loafing Atlanta Yesterday we wrote about City Councilman Kwanza Hall's proposal to extend the hours to sell liquor from 2:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. The sales tax could fund public safety improvements, though other council-members were not so supportive. We received a lot of mixed feelings on the proposal, but what do you think: Are later bar hours good for Atlanta?
