College Republican National Committee In what could be the most important belwether yet in gauging the national political mood, Republican state Senator Scott Brown is making an impressive run for Ted Kennedy's former Senate seat. Read the CRNC's lastest post on just why you should care about this historic race that nobody knows about...

College Republican National Committee A key Democratic strategist recenly wrote a letter to Campaign for America stating that 2010 will be the year we "improve transparency in Washington to elevate the voices of the American people." If the closed door debates and shutting Republicans out of the health care conference are any indication...they're off to a ...bad start. It's time we called them out on it.

With the string of failed promises adding up, President Obama may want a redo on many of his campaign speeches. But it’s the American people who deserve the redo…at the ballot box. Campaigns cannot be merely empty promises and enticing rhetoric. ...

Alternatively, we can rise above the Democratic party, stop calling them out on all of their wrong-doings, and focus on OUR, platforms, OUR strategies - why are WE Republicans? I suggest we focus on that - us not them. This childish playground fight needs to come to an end.

Are we this desperate to where we need to attack others to have the spotlight put on us? This seems to be what the majority of this page's statuses revolve around, and most people "like" them or comment in agreement. If all we are going to do is attack, attack, attack, we are no better then them. We are fueling the segregation between parties.

We are at a point in history where one of our two parties is going to written in the books as being a pivotal, successful lawmaking party and the other, a complete and utter disaster. Which one do we want to be? Attacking our opponent and calling out their wrongs will never be as effective as showing why we are right and proactively spreading and encouraging our platforms, our plans. ... See More

College Republican National Committee Robert Samuelson recently wrote for Newsweek, "One of our long-running political stories is the economic assault on the young by the old." It is a sad but true reality that Congress invests in the past while bankrupting the future. But it is our goal to make sure this changes in 2010. With your help we'll put the brake...s on this out of control spending.

Our generation is on the road to bankruptcy. Moreover, young adults, the very people who stand to suffer the most, are not the ones driving the car. The blame lay on the lead foot of Congress who refuses to take ease off the accelerator, driving us further into debt by the day.

College Republican National Committee The past year of Democratic entrenchment on Capitol Hill has shown the old adage to be true: "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely." In their latest jab at bipartisanship, Democrats are opting to skip the conference process on the health care bill meaning (1) no public hearing and (2) no chance for Republ...ican input. Sigh.

We’ve all read ad nauseum how the Obama administration was going to be the most open and transparent in history. We were also promised a “Purple America” with bipartisan solutions and a “down the middle” approach to solve the nation’s problems. But all too often falls flat when faced with reality.

President Obama loves the Mayo Clinic. Throughout his health care campaign he touted the Clinic’s ability to provide low-cost but high-quality care as a model for his own legislation. For instance, at a stop in Green Bay he said,

College Republican National Committee Most people believe that young voters are always more liberal than their older counterparts. But this was not always the case. From 1980-1992 young adults were the MOST conservative age group - carrying Ronald Reagan into office. It is time to recapture that magic in 2010 as we build a new generation of young conservatives.

College Republican National Committee Over the course of the health care debate the President seems to have promised his plan will do everything short of curing cancer. In our latest post, we look at how two more of President Obama’s lofty New Year’s resolutions fell by the

College Republican National Committee Throughout his campaign and his first year in office, Barack Obama touted his own version of "read my lips" by promising that he would not raise taxes on the middle class by a single dime. Well literally trillions of dimes later, the people of Main Street are wondering what happened to that promise.

http://blog.crnc.org/?p=4704

Barack Obama may as well have said “read my lips.” His similar and oft made promise to not raise taxes on the middle class has become nearly as ubiquitous and famous in his first 365 days. Throughout his campaign and his presidency he has often repeated the quote,
