From a photography standpoint, I considered this evening's sunset below par. No blazing "color show" (as I like to call them) transpired anywhere in the sky. But I had some extra time before meeting with ...

JOHNSON VILLAGE, CO - Steve "Colorado Guy" Garufi is taking the next step in his promotion and leadership in the community. Today, as he stood in a grassy lot behind the Coyote Cantina Mexican Restaurant, Steve announced his candidacy for mayor of Johnson Village in next year's election.

Jared Stude Hey, I'm from Colo. Springs and I was thinking about going snowmobiling on Cottonwood Pass this weekend and I was wondering if you knew if there was enough snow to do that.

Today's photo was taken this morning while pulled over on Highway 24 north of Buena Vista. As you can see, we had a bright and sunny day. I don't mind (and really love) snow and freezing cold weather, but give me sunshine ... I gotta have sunshine! :)

Karen Miller I found you when I was looking for palm tree and beach pictures to put on my desk top. I love palm trees too. Probably because I'm stuck in Iowa and one would not survive outdoors here year round. We do have two potted ones inside though that we have had to cut back and repot several times because it reaches the ceiling! My family thinks I'm crazy for loving palm trees so much!

My ten-year-old son explained the cabbage-water-acidification science experiment
his class did today. This led to some words about distilled
water which led me to remember
the seven mineral springs in Manitou Springs where I lived (1993-2003). In a search to educate my son further, I found your mineral springs site! Then,... later this evening when I felt like checking out the Continental Divide, I found you again! I was looking up the C.D. because I'm reading a book I'd recommend called: "The Selected Works of T.S. Spivet" by Reif Larsen--much mention of the C.D. I also
recognized your face from my Manitou days, maybe from the Bakery? the Spice Shop? Nice to see a famiiar face from that great Manitoid community. (my teenage daughter says this is way too much verbage for a wall...sorry, can't believe the coincidences).Read More

It is safe to say it snows quite a lot in the central Rocky Mountain region of Colorado. As a year-round resident, I have grown accustomed to seeing snow on any given day from September through May. (And ...

Although maps call it Magazine Mountain, the term "Mt. Magazine" is what seems to be most commonly used as the name of the high point. Magazine Mountain spans horizontally across west central Arkansas, and Signal Hill is the highest point on this mountain at 2,753 feet in elevation.
