PRE-COMMUNION INSTRUCTION BEGINS JANUARY 14. God’s Word reminds us we are to “examine” ourselves before we take part in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The church helps young people come to a point where they can examine themselves with respect to their sin and their belief that in the sacrament Jesus offers us His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. We provided ten hours of pre-communion... instruction for young people age 10 and above to help them prepare to receive the blessings God offers in this awesome sacrament. This year the sessions will be January 14, 21 and 28, 1-4 PM, extending to 5 PM on the 28th. A parent or other responsible adult must accompany each young person under the age of 14. First Communion is scheduled for January 29. Email Pastor Knill at pastor@concordialutheranva.org for more information or to enroll someone for the course.See More

Our Faith in Action Team's second annual Back-to-School Clothing Give-Away was a great success! 175 members of the community received clothing. 100 students received school supplies. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Pastor McElvain, Diann Liming, Dawn Abrassart, and Jazzmine Reeves for all their wonderful help today. Many thanks to all who provided donations and their support. To God be the glory!
