Hello! Hoping this information may be of help to some families in the Cheshire area.
Cheshire Centre for Independent Living (CCIL) has been commissioned to provide a new form of Direct Payments Pilot project, known as Aiming High Individual Payments (AHIPS). For those families living in the Cheshire West & Chester or C...heshire East local authority areas, receiving the higher rate of DLA for either the mobility or care component, and do not currently have an open case with Social Care services; families will be offered four hours funding per week, per family, until the 31st March 2011. The purpose is to empower children to participate in short breaks of their choice within their local community without the need for further assessment. For further information contact: CCIL: www.cheshirecil.org Telephone 01606 872760
