We donated coffee to this event!
from Roast:
Friday, October 30, Roast Coffee Company will play host to Milwaukee’s Halloween Barista Jam and third City-to-City Throwdown; this time against Portland. Milwaukee is 2-0 in City to City Throwdowns while this will be Portland’s first. Party will begin at 5pm and will continue... well into the evening.
The Schedule of Events:
5pm: Meet and greet
6pm: Coffee Cupping
7pm: Preliminary Throwdown-$5 entry fee
9pm: City to City Throwdown: MKE vs. PDX
We are fortunate to have six coffee sponsors for the event. We will begin with a coffee cupping at 6 pm with coffees from:
Alterra Coffee Roasters
Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.
Counter Culture Coffee
Olympia Coffee Roasters
Metropolis Coffee Roasters
and our competitor, Portland’s own,
Stumptown Coffee Roasters
We will have alternative brew stations set up throughout the cafe (i.e. french press, Chemex, siphon, and pour over) that will be available throughout the night.
Preliminary Jam will begin at 7pm. If you intend on pouring for the event, please be on time! Since it is a Halloween themed event, you must be in costume in order to pour. In other words, NO COSTUME, NO POUR.
Top 10 competitors will go on to compete in the City to City Throwdown representing Milwaukee!Read More
