Be sure to get your tickets early for this popular opening to the holiday season. Campus organist Paul Woodring will be featured on the Forbes Pipe Organ along with the Cal Poly Brass Ensemble conducted by Christopher J. Woodruff. PolyPhonics, The U...niversity Singers, The Cal Poly Early Music Ensemble, Take It SLO and Barbershop Quartets present repertoire to put you in the holiday mood. There will be an audience carol sing-a-long as well!

Both classic jazz as well as cutting-edge, contemporary jazz will be featured. Cal Poly student-musicians will perform an arrangement of the jazz standard "Almost Like Being in Love," as well as "Peep," a composition by one of the most influential and respected modern saxophonists, Michael Brecker. Also to be perform...ed is a composition by Jazz Studies Director Paul Rinzler called "Babylonian Holiday."

Sat., Nov. 7 - The Mustang Band is heading north for the football game with the UC Davis Aggies. Come support the band! And fullback and music major vocalist Jon Hall #28!
The band is performing at halftime and is scheduled to perform to the east side. The Mustang Band will lead the "battle of the bands" featuring twir...ler Kristen Mann and follow up with an arrangement in honor of Veterans Day with the Cal Poly rifle line. The post-game "Band Off" will take place next to the Tavernetti Bell outside the main entrance of the stadium on the east side. Both bands will trade performances of their best arrangements.
