Criminal Records Atlanta New releases for this week are posted on the website (see link below). And, in case you're wondering, the store is open today, Wednesday, from now until 6pm. Then, it's closed on Thursday. And then, it's open again on Friday from 11am to 9pm.

DJ Drama will be here, too. Jay Reatard will also perform next Thursday. And my mum is really excited about the upcoming Chipmunks "squeakquel."

Criminal Records Atlanta Playing here very soon (like, ten minutes soon) is Patterson Hood (you know, of the Drive-By Truckers). He's on at 3pm. Then our theremin and lap steel playing friends, Duet For Theremin & Lap Steel will play at 4:30pm. Shannon's a little concerned about doing sound for a theremin, but I'm sure everything will work out just fine. ;)

Criminal Records Atlanta Camera Obscura in-store starts in less than 30 minutes. They are scheduled to go on at 6pm. We're giving away a pair of tickets to their Variety show during the in-store. Ask Adam for a raffle ticket at the front counter. (You have to be present to win this one.)

Criminal Records Atlanta Heavy Trash sounded fantastic. The boys have man-crushes on everyone in the band. I just have a regular ol' crush on Jon Spencer (old habits die hard). So nice in person, and so good live. We highly recommend that you go see them at the EARL tonight (21+). Tiger! Tiger! are opening. Tickets are available at the door (w...hich open at 8:30pm). We also highly recommend HT's new album. Very good!
