Cross Fusion Band

In the midst of year 2007, Malacca’s renowned vocal instructor Kathie Fong assembled together a band consisting of Jinshan, Leroy, Z-Wei, and VJ as recording musicians for her latest album. Whiffs of great potential emanated from the band as they experienced a conspicuous sense of mutual chemistry in between them. The ...recording went superbly well but they unfortunately had to bid adieu to the wonderful vocalist, Kathie as she continued to pursue her dreams in the Land Down Under, Australia. Expeditiously without further hesitations, VJ came up with the ever brilliant idea to form a band, consisting of the 4 musicians mentioned earlier on. He suggested to venture into the unheard genre of the fully diversified experimental music. As the rest of the members were all pumped-up and audaciously willing to experiment, they all agreed to VJ’s idea. And to cut the story short, the Cross Fusion revelation began! As a newly-formed band, they began playing various kinds of music and attempted to match the jigsaw puzzle of experimental music. They defied the boundaries of music by associating jazz and blues into the world of rock and roll. As they ventured into new styles and techniques, they discovered that music was not just a bunch of random sounds ringing together, but rather a vibrant color of euphoric harmony that is well projected to an audience of music enthusiasts. After a few jamming sessions, the band started to gain recognition among their peers, and was asked to perform in a few local gigs. And this is where the Cross Fusion adventure really began. They knew that in order for them to perform a wider variety of songs, they would first need a vocalist. This was where Sherson stepped in. After they had a jamming session with him, they found Sherson to be a perfect match! He had the looks, the personality and the charm that correlated impeccably with the other members’. They were certainly blessed to have found the right match for their band in such a short span of time. At the same time, Sherson's younger brother, Sherman also showed great interest in joining the band, and Cross Fusion definitely wasted no time in adding this valuable asset to their band.
