Diana On this day in the year 1517, out of love for the truth and a compelling desire to make the truth known, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church door. When asked to renounce his positions he stated, "I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God.
