Step 3 of the turtle conservation process, releasing baby turtles, is a very important time in which the turtles learn their way into the ocean (in order to find their way back as adults to lay their own eggs). It is also important for humans to monitor this stage, protecting the babies from predators (e.g. seagulls) t...hat may snatch them on their way to the water. In this video, the volunteers are our Tri-Country and Water & Wave students. October 2009.

Costa Rica Outward Bound COURSE UPDATE II: Tri-Country and Water & Wave students are whitewater rafting experts by now (and probaby a little bit pruny). After a week on the Rio Pejibaye, they transferred to the Rio Pacuare (listed in the top 10 best rafting rivers in the world) today. By Sunday they'll transfer to yet ANOTHER river: Rio General. Pura vida!

Costa Rica Outward Bound COURSE UPDATE: Leadership will have a weekend of homestays! Homestays are ranked among the top three favorite activities of students. After camping tonight in La Flecha, they head to dear Orlando's tomorrow and the Lopez's on Sunday!
