Steve plays 225 shows per year, and he has opened for such notables as R...oy Clark, Mel Tillis, Tammy Wynette, Jerry Reed, Boxcar Willie and Charlie Daniels. To date, Austin has released five original albums.

THE IMPOSTER deals with the lifestyle and subsequent breakdown of a Christian rock singer, Johnny C, lead singer of the popular band, Grand_design.
Kevin Max’s character, “Johnny C” is the true story of the lead singer of a faith-based, chart topping band, but his personal demons—drug addiction and ego—send him on a dow...nward spiral in which he loses everything that’s meaningful in his life. “It’s basically the ‘prodigal son story,” Max explains, “And it is one that every artist, rebel or wayward person can relate to.”
Featuring original music from Kevin Max and Jeff Deyo, a new version of "Carry on Wayward Son" by Kerry Livgren (with Kevin Max on vocals), four songs from the outstanding Christian band DownHere, The Imposter will reach your heart like no other movie has before.

Here's how Open Mic works:
*** At open mic....people arrive between 6:30-7:00pm to sign up for
performance times (we take walkin's after 7pm, but many times we only have room for the people who have signed up i...n advance). The music starts at 7pm...Everyone can sign up for one set to start with....a set is 2 songs. Let the signin person know if you want to play more than one set...then check back with the signup table to see if there will be time for a 2nd set (just depends on how many folks we have).
As for equipment....everything is there as far as the PA, CD & tape player
goes..you bring your instruments and any cords to plug them in with. We
prefer to have most instruments go direct into the system,
only 1 drum and bass amp setup for the night that is shared...to save time.
Many people do bring accompaniment CD's or tapes.
It is a fast moving night and we recommend that artists keep their setup
simple and forget about using alot of add on pedals and such and there is no time for sound checks between acts.
All in all....quite alot of fun. If your interested in the Open
Mic..be sure to let me know your coming :-)
