DBSA Metro Detroit Hi Tina, I have another resource for you to check out. It is an organization called the Association for Children's Mental Health at acmh-mi.org. It looks like a good site worth checking. I hope you find the support you are seeking. I'll continue to keep my ears open for more resources.

Thank you so much for digging this up, Kristen!! OCCMHA has a great Recovery Conference every year and I never miss it. The workshop in the video was moderated by Mary Ellen and Bob and I were co-presenters. It's amazing that so many times people can't get our name right (DBSA)!! Also, I saw Leon Judd and Nancy A. in the audience.

Hi Tina,
No, can't think of any. Finding a group for young people is very difficult. DBSA tried to get one going, but got no attendance. Young people don't really want to go to support groups, in our experience. There are organizations that have online support groups. One is CABF (Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation) at cabf.org. There is ... See Morealso a group in Southfield which may have some information called MACED (Michigan Assoc. for Children with Emotional Disorders) at michkids.org. National DBSA also has online support groups too. There is one for parents, but I'm not sure about adolescents. You could check it out at dbsalliance.org and search for online support groups. I'll keep my ears open and check with a couple people and if I find any information, I'll post it. Hope this helps a little. Let us know what happens, OK?

Kristen Famiano I originally did this in Powerpoint like 6 years ago. It definitely has flaws but I like it just the way it is:-)

Great job as always, Kristen! It's great that you put all the pictures of famous people in it. Most people don't realize that some of their favorites have depression or another mental illness....and they function quite well, are not a burden to society and are not violent.
