Denny Rehberg, Montana's Congressman Re: America Speaking Out: you can't address health care costs without addressing lawsuit abuse. I agree. Do you? Speak out!

    • Donna McCabe so true; there are times when a wrongful lawsuit is justified. There does need to be a cap on the amount of the lawsuit and lawyers need to stop encouraging lawsuits!

My very best friend, a Canadian from Hamilton Ontario Canada, just recently pased away from lung Cancer. She was married to an American, and living in the United States. Her GREATEST FEAR was possibly having to go back to Canada for treatme...nt as she said they would let her die without trying to help her. Her daughter moved to the US to work. She also hates Canadian medicine. I lived near the border and interacted with Canadians regularly and not once found a person liking the quality or quantity of their care. A very large front page article recently in the billings Gazette also disputes the utipia claims as Canadian Dr's are setting up practice in Billings rather than put up with the Canadian system.
Their system is going broke, limiting care and procedures as is every single payor system in the world.
Not or me thank you. I'll continue to work hard, upgrade my skills, and prepare for the future on my own, paying my own way as I go. It works well, try it, you might be amased at what you can accomplish on your own.

Whose gonna pay the taxes to maintain this land now if the ranchers/farmers are not.....What's to become of the towns in these areas with out farmer/ranchers and there income and kids...no schools, bars, stores or post offices will be neede...d so there go them jobs. Guess rest of the state will have to help as well as the rest of the nation. Doesn't sound like 'Justice for all' to me. Where are the rancher/farmers to go? Do? Survive how? Seems like there aren't enough jobs around right now with them having a job so where will it go with them wanting jobs?See More

Glen and Tom..excellent points. My family is Irish and you don't hear me pissin and moanin about what the English did to MY ancestors! Yes, we all have skeletons in our closets and there were crappy things that happened to the Native Ameri...cans...but it doesn't take away from the fact that we're all HERE now in 2010 dealing with the same BS that Clinton and Babbit tried to shove down our throats 10 years ago!

Luke...clearly you are against Denny and what he's done for Montana. That's fine - you're entitlted to your opinion and what box you want to check in Novemeber IF you vote! But make no mistake...this crap of back door, dark alley discussions went on once and those of us in the rural areas of Montana won't be fooled again. I'm damn happy that Denny knows this - he went through it with us back then and - like us - he's only got himself to blame if we allow the "fool me twice" scenario to take place.

Michelle - I agree...Our farmers and ranchers feed us. I have a desk job so no cows or garden in my backyard. I have an ag background and will forever be grateful that our men and women in the agriculture sector keep good beef and veggies on my plate. Our rural communities rely on these folks to keep our small economies going. It would be really interesting to make a comparison of how much money they bring to places like Malta due to purchases of farm equipment, livestock supplies, their kids educations, etc...versus how much money the APF brings in to have us all stand back and LOOK at the land!

    • UnK Matthiesen Why must libs resort to foul language and unfounded accusations? Could it be they are unable to argue or support their positions intelllectually.

lol, why must "libs" resort to foul language. Have you read through these posts from Dennys followers? Lets see, what is the bad word? Tea Baggers? LOL That is very very mild to most of the posts here,
But hey, this gives me the opportunity ...to say this again so thanks for bringing what I said up.
Ben, so I take it that Rehberg is NOT TOO POPULAR with the Tea Party people. We need leaders in Montana that work for all of us, not a politician who puts party over their country.

    • CJ Cummings want to talk about skewed priorities? The GOP is busy making a stink about somebody wanting to build a Mosque in an old department store near the former WTC site, (so much for property rights and religious freedom!) when the rest of America doesn't care about that, we care about the economy! It's the ECONOMY, stupid!

Someone wrote this and I found it to be very true.
The proverbial "silly season" in an election year is turning into a scary chapter in American history in which politicians are openly scapegoating people of Muslim faith and Mexican descent.... This is dangerous and wrong. Do not take your eyes off the problems that we face today that directly stem from the era in which our institutions worshiped the false god of deregulation.See More
