Denver International Airport TUESDAY TRIVIA: DIA expects 960,293 passengers from today through Monday, Nov. 30. The total makes this week the second-busiest Thanksgiving week in the history of the Denver airport. The busiest Thanksgiving week at DIA was in 2006 when 966,976 travelers used the airport.

Denver International Airport TUESDAY TRIVIA: The underground fuel delivery system at DIA can pump 1000 gallons of jet fuel per minute through a 28-mile network of pipes. That’s enough pipe to extend from Idaho Springs, Colorado to the summit of Mount Evans. The pipeline was built during construction to reduce emissions while fueling.

Denver International Airport TRIVIA TUESDAY: During last week’s snowstorm, our snow removal teams cleared 3,671 miles of runway pavement. Four primary runways were cleared 61 times during the storm, which took teams an average of only 15 minutes per runway. But that’s not all… our teams also continually cleared 381 miles of roadway pavement to keep Pena Boulevard clear and safe.
