INDEX: Design to Improve Life
The INDEX:Award 2009 Exhibition moves now to Singapore's acclaimed VivoCity in the HarbourFront precinct, one of the key works of Japanese conceptual architect Toyo Ito.
The arrival of the show in Singapore follows its blockbuster three-week display in Seoul, Korea, where it was seen by more than 2.9 million people at J...amsil Stadium.
Singapore is the founding municipality of INDEX:'s Partner City program, which will bring a series of international urban districts into special projects and focused collaboration with INDEX: on an ongoing basis.
The exhibition is a highly informative and entertaining array of the 69 finalist-designs for INDEX:Award 2009, the world's richest prize for design. Included are the five winners of the 500,000-euro award and extensive documentation to help visitors to the exhibition understand the context and importance of the work.Read More
