announce the arrival of DJ Jazzy Jeff¹s Beat Generation album;

“The Magnificent” is the long awaited debut solo album from legendary
turntablist and producer DJ Jazzy Jeff. Having worked behind the scenes on a
number of projects over the years, DJ Jazzy Jeff is now stepping out of the
shadows of his production company; A Touch of Jazz to bring you a ground
breaking new album reflecting the rich musical heritage of Philadelphia
“The Magnificent” features guest appearances from Jill Scott, Shaun tockman
from Boyz II Men, Freddie Foxxx, J-Live, The Last Emperor & ?uestlove from
the Roots as well as showcasing the many talented artists at A Touch Of
Jazz. It is an album that takes you on a musical journey through all genres
of urban music; from old skool hip hop, smooth R¹n¹B and rap through to
soulful spoken word and deep house.

The Beat Generation

A producer led series that features some of the finest in the industry. From
old skool legends like Pete Rock and Marley Marl to those making their mark
today like Jay Dee, DJ Spinna & King Britt.
The series continues to receive recognition. BBE was the only independent
label to have an album nominated with Jay Dee¹s ‘Welcome 2 Detroit¹ for the
2001 Artist Achievement Award, the American equivalent to the British
Mercury Award. A single off the will.i.am album has been made into a music
video now being aired on MTV and the launch party of DJ Jazzy Jeff¹s album,
ŒThe Magnificent¹ took place in Miami during the Winter Music Conference
this March!

DJ Jazzy Jeff

DJ Jazzy Jeff exploded onto the music scene with partner in crime Will ‘The
Fresh Prince’ Smith. With over 10 million records sold, 3 Grammies &
continual guest appearances on a spin-off TV show, Jeff was soon a household
name.
5 years later Jeff went on to start A Touch of Jazz, a full scale, musical
production facility housing a team of talented young producers. Today it is
renowned and revered as THE place to create music.
A Touch of Jazz has been responsible for several movie soundtracks, TV theme
songs, producing much of Will Smiths solo albums as well as working with
renowned artists like Kenny Latimore, Tatyana Ali, MC Lyte, Darius Rucker
(of Hootie and the Blowfish) and most recently Michael Jackson, for whom
they produced the track Butterfly on his new album ŒInvincible.¹ A Touch of
Jazz makes an ongoing commitment to developing new talent from Jill Scott¹s
albums to hosting the talents of Musiq Soulchild.
