Fatma Kara

Fatma Kara Hey I have great news. Did you know that if you have a computer you can start making money right now ? I started this job 3 weeks ago and i've gotten 2 checks for a total of $3150 and that is enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home. dijlyfp...swiz

What if i promised to show you how to easily put $200 - $500 per day into your bank account, working from the comfort of your home. What if I also told you that what we teach has been proven over and over again to make serious money for anyone, regardless of skills, experience, age, or location?

        • Distant Shores Media These guys are doing some really good work. I had the privilege of interacting with them a few months back and it was great to hear about their vision and some of their projects. A lot of what they are doing is very complimentary to what DSM is focused on. Thanks for the link!

Distant Shores Media The Door43 project is starting to move quickly, with two new languages added in the past two days - Lango and తెలుగు (Telugu). Updates to the project will be made on the Door43 Facebook page (http://facebook.com/door43).

Door43 is a project to create discipleship tools that are not just free of charge but are released under a Creative Commons license, giving anyone, anywhere the freedom to translate, adapt, edit, improve, re-purpose and redistribute the tools for any ministry need, without any legal concern or copyright infringement.

Distant Shores Media It turns out there are not a lot of open-licensed Bible maps available (we didn't find any) so we're starting to make some for the Open Bible Handbook on the Door43 project. Here's the first one: http://en.door43.org/wiki/Handbook:Map-Palestine. We're planning to make different formats of this map and a bunch of other maps as well.

Distant Shores Media Have you ever thought about what it takes to "go global" with content, making it available in other languages? Translators, translation checking, publishing rights, copyrights, royalties, etc can result in a lot of time and money. But then there is also the "Open Process" that can be faster, better, virtually free and ...without restrictions on distribution or converting the content to new formats. “Going global” is the process of making content available in other languages. When someone has created a discipleship resource in their own language (e.g. a book, radio program, seminar, video, etc.) and wants it to be available for use by speakers of other languages, there are two processes that ca...

Distant Shores Media The advance of the Kingdom is too crucial to allow anything to hinder it, even if someone else gets the attention. Something as simple as openly licensing discipleship content for others to use without restriction can have an immensely positive impact on global ministry. http://www.dsmedia.org/blog/being-committed-task-any-cost-even-if-others-get-attention

In a recent article on Wired.com, the following statement was made: “Organizations that are founded to solve problems end up committed to the preservation of the problems.” This gives rise to situations such as a bus company being more committed to solving transportation problems with buses t...

Distant Shores Media Did you know this? The number of mobile phones in use in the world today just passed the 5 billion mark (71% of the world's population). That's 5 billion potential discipleship media players, many in least-reached people groups. What an opportunity for the advance of the Kingdom! Story at http://www.cellular-news.com/story/44103.php

The number of mobile connections worldwide reached five billion in the first week of July, according to research from The Mobile World.

Distant Shores Media It's been great to get in touch recently with pastors in the mid-West and introduce the vision of DSM and the Door43 project. Now that Door43 is ready for use, sharing the vision with others and inviting them to help create resources for the global church is high priority.

                • Distant Shores Media e-Sword is free Windows software that has a lot of resources available for it. While some of the resources available are "free & open" (usually because they are in the Public Domain, so often older and less accessible), most are still "all rights reserved" and require a license fee to use. By contrast, the resources being created in the Door43 project (http://door43.org/) are both free of charge and can be freely distributed to others, translated into other languages, adapted to meet other ministry needs, etc.

                • David Haslam Moreover, the e-Sword software is proprietary, not open-source.
It is also Windows only, not multi-platform.
