Doctor Karen Becker is calling clients about their scary echo results....this is the somewhat unpleasant part of my job. My advice: if you have a high risk cardio breed, START ON UBIQUINOL NOW!!! IT WILL SAVE YOUR DOG'S LIFE!! (all you dob, cav and newfie people out there!!).

Thanks for posting this info Dr. Becker. I recently had a 16 month old F2 Savannah who died from HCM/CHF. Can you post the proper dosing for cats, as well as whether Ubiquinol or CoQ10 is most appropriate, for both prevention and tx. Thanks in advance!

Doctor Karen Becker Do you see Isabelle in this picture? ....she spends much of her day on her queen mattress (situated on the floor of my bedroom next to my bed she can longer jump on) asking me to bring her her next snack...ahh the life of a 16 year old :)

wow, that's great! Most of my 2 dog's problems are from injury and hereditary issues. I'm still hopeful for a very long life for them as I also do chiropractic, accupuncture & healing touch for them.

Cosequin (glucosamine & chondroitin) works wonders for my elderly dog's joints- she used to yelp just getting up from lying down, and now she's running around like a puppy again... 16 years for a Rottie is exceptional! What a lucky dog :)

Doctor Karen Becker I'm trying Corigem on my foster dog....has anyone used it before? It's a spray, harvested from hives of killer bees, that claims it's amazing for curing hotspots and skin issues...we'll see!!!

Doctor Karen Becker Today I had a potential new client stomp out because I won't perform declaws on cats. Hmmmmm....I wonder if she's ever had her fingers removed...............

I use a neem shampoo made by organix south and I also use lavender shampoo I get this one at mountain rose herbs. I change between them and she does not get fleas, ticks or mosquito bites from these shampoos especially the neem. They have an outdoor neem spray also for people and I also use that on my dog. Keeps all bugs and critters away. Unless they go swimming then spray them with the spray. Also neem is great for skin allergies which my dog has and her hot spots. She gets less when I use the shampoo but have a problem when she goes swimming. Am experimenting with the oil now.

She gets a bath once a month. Except when she swims or is in the rain. Next summer if my experiment works with the oil then will give more info on how to work it with any golden retrievers or other pets with allergy issues etc.

I am not sure if I am allowed to post companies but these 2 companies are certified organic. So the neem is not contaminated it is safe. ... See More

But neem works excellent to keep fleas and ticks away. :) Jeanette

Doctor Karen Becker assisted in ending the misery for illegally fought pitbulls yesterday. Their ears were "cropped" (chopped) at home with scissors, they were too nice to fight (so they lost), then discarded like trash. Today's thoughts: PEOPLE SUCK.

Maybe the dogs were severely injured (ears cropped by scissors?). There are several highly publicized rehabilitators, but these are not always available to the ordinary dog. I agree, people suck.

We had bats in our house.... three were released, two were brought to the local health dept to test for rabies... haven't had any back. house on the corner though, has hundreds of them that fly in and out, and we live in an area with a high concentration of rabies carrying bats... it's unfortunate, because they also get rid of those pesky squitos!

I'm hearing-impaired person who needs closed captions to watch youtube videos. Does it say anything in any of your video that talks about lead poisoning and what to do and the symptoms for a cat?
