Dolphin Journeys Kona Coffee Parade was on a beautiful clear Kona morning. Dolphin Journeys cruised down Ali'i Dr. waving at the crowd. Capt. Nancy, The crew, Tiffany and Sailor were all aboard. Martha and Jon from Iceland joined in the fun. They did 2 Dolphin trips while on the Big Island and loved spending their last morning in Kona ...in the parade on the Dolphin Float. It was good fun! Dolphin Journeys celebrates the Coffee Farmers by drinking the Kona Coffee! ALOHA!

Jean Okay! It's official...humpbacks whales are in Kona waters! At the end of our glorious trip today to enjoy dolphins, we were thrilled to see two humpbacks casually swimming across Honokohau Bay, just next to the harbor. The sound of their deep exhale just gives me 'chicken skin'.

Today was THE BEST dolphin encounter
I've ever had – about 100 dolphin,
lots of moms and babies, and a whole lotta lovin' goin' on. The dolphins hung with us often just stayed around and under the boat! A second
swim, same location, just one guest and me, and t...he dolphins were playing 'catch
us if you can' – swim by slow then speed up, then come up behind us laughing,
then turn around and do the same. We probably had a good 2 hours in
close contact. A mom brought her babe right to within a couple feet of me
and swam with me for a while!
Then we headed out to the deep and one guest jumped in to experience the deep blue for a minute,
then we found 2 beaked whales! These shy creatures stayed on the surface for about 5
minutes!
What a day!
Dolphin Journeys We are not going out on Saturday, but we have trips on Sunday and Monday to relax and enjoy our warm Hawaiian waters and friendly inhabitants! Come join us!
