Today, more than 1,600 of our Northwest neighbors - and over 100,000 men, women and children nationwide are currently in need of life saving organ transplants. Sadly, every 13 minutes another name is added to that list and each day 18 people die waiting for a transplant. However, only 53 percent of Washington and Montana licensed drivers and ID card holders have committed themselves to donation by registering to be donors– leaving the donor shortage a leading public health crisis.
