Well, I’m pretty sure this is my next camera. Looks pretty amazing. It’s a small point and shoot Canon camera that has a 28-105mm lens and also goes down to f/2.0. Pretty awesome. Read more about it here.

I did a photoshoot the other day for a few friends of mine. The shoot was in a big field, at around 4pm in the afternoon. There was lots of light obviously, since it was a sunny day, but the sun was high in the sky and the shadows were pretty harsh...

I shoot Nikon, not Canon, so there may be differences, but on the Nikon there are two types of focus points. Cross type and horizontal. The cross type are more accurate. The D300 has 15 of the cross type, and you can choose to use only those, or to use all 51 focus points.

Check your camera's documentation, you may well find that some of your points are more accurate. If you know which ones they are, you can use that to your advantage.
