Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons is reading “The Shadowmask” and thinks it’s pretty cool how R.A. Salvatore and his son, Geno, are telling a new story (with the Stone of Tymora trilogy) that also fills in some Drizzt-shaped blanks from the dark elf books.

Oh, so they are kinda Drizzt-related? Then I think I should give them a try, at least after I finish Transitions.

I'll probably read it eventually, but where's the Eberron fiction love?

When 4E gets through with it, it won't be Dark Sun anymore, it'll be Dead Sun. Just like Forgotten Realms became the Shattered Realms. 4E is tearing every campaign setting apart, haven't you noticed?

Unrelated to anything else: you can block someone in your Privacy settings and never see anything posted by them again. Just in case you ever come across someone who only has negative things to say, or that just generally annoys you by posting. I have to say, it makes certain threads much more pleasant to browse through. :)

Well I dont like 4E. and I dont play it. but I have noticed that if I ignore everyone I have a difference of opinion with, the room gets too quiet too quickly. see: graveyard.

I havent read everything Drizzt related yet. and ok. they could find new ppl to talk about. will they accept suggestions for a new protagonist?

@Cedric -- If you don't like 4e, and you don't play it, then, well, just out of curiousity, why are you a fan of the official Wizards of the Coast Dungeons & Dragons page? Personally I disagree with blocking people as well, but I'm a staunch supporter of the 1st amendment...and censoring people to make my experience pleasant sounds silly. Plus, you never know when someone might have something insightful to say.

I'm still waiting for Luis to contribute something interesting, of course. :)

Amen, Mikael. I have to say...it took me a couple of years to figure this out...I was just so stubborn going into 4e that it clouded my judgement. Once I let go of that frustration and started to consider what changes I would like to make to 4e, I realized the system was very intuitive and adapatable, and I finally saw it's full potential. Personally, I don't think 4e is for everyone. But there's no reason to hate on it, or its creators, or wish bankruptcy on WotC. That's just silly.
