Chief Almir Surui asked Google Earth Outreach to train indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest on Google Earth and other internet tools. The Surui will use the internet to preserve their culture for future generations and spread awareness about illegal logging on Indian territory.

Save the Elephants has been studying the Mali desert elephants since 2000. Using GPS tracking collars, we have tracked the movements of a number of individuals and are unlocking the mysteries behind their long-distance migration.

April VanGelderen What happend to the McMurdo Panarama on Mars? I go to view it and it just zooms me to the black and white surface of Mars. Also, is google earth going to add other planets. I know there's not much yet, but then again it would be really cool to see the other planets from a satilite point of view than pictures.
