Linda Harnish Lull Rocca Is there an law or an ordinance to keep people from blowing leaves or snow into a road?
Or rolling large snowballs/ice chunks into and across the road?

Yes Linda, there is a By-Law which prohibits the depositing of snow or other matter in the roadway. We try to keep up with the private plow operators and work in conjunction with the DPW trucks who usually advise us when they witness this happening. Rolling large snowballs into the roadway would amount to an act of disorderly conduct, as an act serving no legitimate purpose and creating a physically hazardous condition. This is arrestable offense under Mass General Laws Chapter 272 Section 53.

Thank you for responding to this question. I am a school bus driver in town and these are frequent problems for us during and after a storm. Now I know there is a by-law and a MGL and if I have the opportunity, I can let the offenders (usually my passengers and parents of my passengers) know also.

Isn't it funny that when they want to put a sidewalk they say it is town property. But when it snows it is now your property. What's wrong with this picture?
