Rene Got an Asus EEE PC 900A on Thursday. Installed Windows XP on Friday. Deleted Windows XP on Friday. Did my research on Saturday. Installed Easy Peasy on Saturday. Fell in love with my EEE PC on Saturday. This is awesome!!

No, it can look somewhat a like though. Easy Peasy is optimized for netbooks while Ubuntu Netbook Remix is just regular Ubuntu with the netbook interface

I'm back to EP 1.1 and downloaded all the updates except the full 9.04 update. Works well (except the fn+f2 key doesn't toggle the wi-fi!!). Looking forward to chatting with you lot on irc!

remove Ubiquity from starting up.
Method: Either disable it starting in Preferences > Sessions, or Uninstall it in Administration > Synaptic.

Any comments on moblin ? Its in alpha phase right now, but seems like they are integrating social desktop into it.

The Moblin interface looks interesting and might be the base for your Social Desktop instead of Ubuntu Netbook Remix. We will always choose the best software available :)

Francina Girard When I first got my netbook I was like meh. As a person going from apple to pc I was a bit like ick, after awhile I got used to it because for the moment this is my main mens of living in the virtual world but I felt limited. A friend who has an eepc as well suggested Easy Peasy and oh my lord..my cherry was popped. I am in love hard core stalker style. My netbook whose name is Cora Lee is one happy computer. To me she is running faster, responsive, and just plain ole' prettier. I like the quick ease in finding things and I am this ** close to saying I like this better than Apple OS. Here's my screenshot.

Mark Wow!!! I bought a eee PC 701 second-hand. I became very quickly frustrated with the limitations of the included desktop. And then, and then ... I found Easy Peasy. Fantastic!! Now I have the same applications on my PC and on my netbook.

Is my first choice OS! ... really! ... I have nice colored desktop-backround-pic behind the mainscreen. EasyPeasy is very comfortable for me and I`m quite surprised that everything went well on first install. thanks a lot! and greetings from germany
