High school and college students are invited as well as anyone interested in learning more about the journey from art major to film director.
DAVID FILONI, a 1996 Edinboro University graduate of the art department with a degree in applied media, reached the pinnacle of the animation profession when he recently became th...e first Edinboro University graduate to direct a major commercial feature-length animated film.
In his brief yet impressive career, Mr. Filoni has served as an assistant director for the FOX television series “King of the Hill,” as an assistant director for the Warner Brothers series, “Mission Hill” and “The Oblongs,” as an animator for several Disney Television series, and as a writer and director for the Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”
In 2006, David became perhaps the luckiest “Star Wars” fan in history when he was hired from relative obscurity by George Lucas to head the animation division of Lucas Films and develop a television series based on the legendary “Clone Wars” story arc of the “Star Wars” films. Having impressed Lucas with his work for the small screen, Mr. Filoni was then commissioned to direct a feature length film to launch the TV series. “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” opened in theaters in August of 2008, grossing over $65 million worldwide before being released on DVD in November of 2008. David is currently the supervising director of the “Clone Wars” animated series airing on TNT and Cartoon Network. Premiering in October, 2008, a second season started airing in October, 2009. Outside of animation, David's interests include hiking, camping and tracking wolves. A native of the Mount Lebanon suburb of Pittsburgh, David and his wife, Ann, reside in Santa Rosa, California.Read More

so I'm a freshman at IUP right now, but I'm definitely transferring to Edinboro, either this spring, or next fall, depending on housing. I'd like to live in the Highlands, but I have no idea if there are any openings for spring semester or how to find that out. I'm also not sure how scheduling would work. transferring ...is more difficult then I thought! But I absolutely love Edinboro's campus, and I'm reall excited to go there :)Read More

Louise Penman i visited the campus this past friday and i absolutely loved it! It's now my top choice for next year :)
