Butler Univerrsity has paid faculty to take classes to assist in the incorporation of technology in teaching. this semester I am working with the use of Facebook as a communicative tool in an intermediate Spanish class and sees to encourgage students to communicate in a more natural manner.

Not, quite sure what I stumbled on to, and am not too proficient at "facebooking" but I am extreamly passionate about true educational reform. I teach public school and believe in it, but we are still teaching like it is 1950 not 2010. Does anyone know what academics and schools are teaching for the 21st century; Kids ...working in collaborative groups and using technology to find their own information, using real world applications like Excel to solve real world problems even in elementary school.
