How is that for a nice little fish? The big one got away. Not really. Larry Clark caught this black drum on October 21 while fishing near his house in Bluwater. He released the fish after pictures and it is estimated that the fish was 42 inches long and weighed in excess of 80 lbs. It took him an hour and a half to bri...ng the fish in on 20 lb test line with a bottom rig useing shrimp. The picture was taken by Sheila Arrington.Read More

Kevin Geraghty The last loggerhead nest on Emerald Isle boiled this evening. It was day 64. 55 babies came out. There are still 57 eggs in the nest. We will excavate on Friday. Maybe we will see more babies come out then. Unless they decide to come out later tonight, or tomorrow, or Wednesday night. We just don't know...they are on "turtle time".

Spencer Rich I must advise all in the area to go walk on the beach. The moon's so bright you could read a book by it.
