Erik Balkey Ooh, this is fun. Don't laugh, but i might have a comedian as part of the show on Nov. 5 and 6 in Barrington, NJ! And, the talented John Conahan (funny, but not a comedian) will do me the honor of being my musical guest and accompany me during my set.

Erik Balkey My take on "All the Best" by John Prine, from my new album! Pre-purchase your copy for $20 (shipping incl.) and I will send you my last CD for free. Just to prove I would do it, I named my last CD "For The Ladies" and it contains songs about relationships. The new one is same subject matter with songs I didn...'t write.... It is called "For The Ladies, The Covers."

Erik Balkey I recorded two albums of songs on topics of social relevance. All songs i wrote or co-wrote except one, "Born In The U.S.A." Give a listen here. Produced by Tom Prasada-Rao. You can get the single on iTunes, or email me for a copy of the CD.

Erik Balkey Jason Mraz song that I recorded a couple months ago in Texas. That's Tom Prasada-Rao playing along and making it sound great. The song will be on the upcoming album, "For The Ladies, The Covers." Email me to reserve your copy, purchase in advance and help with duplication costs.

Erik Balkey This is a song I wrote with Lisa Bastoni the night we crossed paths as touring songwriters. We had planned to do a show together at a North Carolina coffeeshop, but an ice storm kept us stuck, off the road, and writing a song. That's Beth Wood singing along, and Duke Levine playing guitar. Tom Prasada-Rao did the rest ...of the magic, playing piano and doing the production. The Diner is my hometown diner at the vanishing Marlton circle.

Erik Balkey I recorded this one a couple years back, and it was inlcuded on a Hungry for Music project put out by Jeff Campbell. Someone tell me what baseball player I am talking about, and bonus if you can tell me what singer I am referring to as well. I thought I'd post the song here for the Boys of Summer, and also around the... date of the passing of American icons Jerry Garcia and Elvis Presley.

      • Erik Balkey Shawn Colvin. Hit song "Diamond In The Rough" and album "Cover Girl." But, it can be anyone that has been put on a pedestal in the "Hero Game." Suggested listen: John Gorka's song "Heroes."
