Erik Balkey misses the good folks at The Folk Club of Reston-Herndon. Will be at the open mic next Tuesday, March 16 with some new songs.
Erik Balkey Stepped out of my comfort zone to try a storytelling open mic last night. No hiding behind a guitar, music and melody. And, after telling my (semi-)prepared story, I found out that I had to get back up in front of 70(ish) people and talk for two minutes on a subject with no prep time!

Paints the foyer and hallway of Michael Trantolo today and tomorrow in Connecticut. Sings songs to benefit Haiti in the living room of Ken Yavit in Glenside, PA next Friday, Feb. 26.
