Description
The biggest societies event this year! There will be a feast of live entertainment galore: from live bands, the best DJs, massive debates and an open mic session too!
Every venue in the Union will be open and full of fun activities - so come on down and get involved!!!
The Line-up has just been announced and is as follows:
LUX:
•7-8pm – Big Band – kicking off the event with a bang
•8-9pm – The Takeover Game Show - featuring your favourite Sabb Officers
•9-9.30pm – An extra special Dance Collaboration performance from Street Salsa, Breakdancing and Latino Dance Cocktail
•9.30-10.30pm – City Safari – superb student Indie/Rock band
•10.30-11.30pm – School of Rock – bringing you your favourite student rock anthems
•11.30-12.30am – Rattlesnake – Rock band playing the classic rock anthems from the 80s!
•12.30 – close – DJ Viking Tom – playing all your favourite tunes
C02:
•8-8.45pm – Unsigned Talent’s Top DJs
•8.45 – 9.30pm – DJ IanG - Awesome techno set
•9.30 – 10.15pm – DJ Chopper Harries – your Media Sabb pumps out some funky house
•10.15 – 11pm – DJ Footloose_Rpm – time to shake your booty to some hardcore funk and dirty hip-hop
•11-12midnight – DJ Philip Harvey – bringing you a unique Indie/Electro mix
•12-1am – The New Music Mash-Up – the best in New Music mashed!
•1am- close – Drum n Bass Soc – keeping the party going to the early hours with the most delectable Drum n Bass
VIA LATTEA:
•Open mic session featuring acoustic music from the School of Rock, readings from the Creative Writing Soc and whatever YOU want to do!
•There will also be cultural foods served by our amazing cultural societies – come and let your taste buds run wild!
FUNCTION ROOMS:
•In one there will be two massive debates concerning numerous issues – both serious and fun. Hosted by our brand new Politics Soc it’s an event definitely not to be missed!
•The second room will be used for a massive twister tournament. Imagine a huge twister mat covering the entire room with loads of people in compromising positions and you have a good gist of what will happen!
