In Stitches: Embroidered Bindings
Friday, August 14, 6-9pm
Inspired by this year's member's exhibition, Threads, we'll explore some ways to work embroidery into bookbinding. Loungers will play with various stitches and styles, and experiment with bookcloth and paper. Historical examples and contemporary art will be on hand for source materials, and loungers will take home a simple portfolio or case that shows off their handiwork.
The Lounge is a monthly open studio and workshop event, designed for beginners and old hands alike. We hope you'll join us!
