Description
In celebration of this year’s Lincoln Bicentennial, the Brown Bag Book Club at the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum will discuss Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin. Ten years in the making, this engaging work reveals why “Lincoln’s road to success was longer, more tortuous, and far less likely” than the other men, and why, when opportunity beckoned, Lincoln was “the best prepared to answer the call.”
This discussion will take place on the grounds of the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum in Crawfordsville on Monday, August 3 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on the Museum grounds (the discussion will take place inside the Carriage House Interpretive Center of the Museum if inclement weather occurs). This book can be purchased at the Museum for 20% off regular price. For further information on this or other Brown Bag Book Club discussions, please call 765-362-5769 or email study@ben-hur.com.
