Kimberly Peirce, director of BOYS DON'T CRY, will present a screening of her new film STOP-LOSS. She will take questions following the screening in a Q&A session moderated by Lauren Berlant, professor of Gender Studies.
A war film produced by MTV Films, STOP-LOSS tells the story of a young Iraq war vet (Ryan Phillippe) whose return to civilian life in his hometown is disrupted by a stop-loss order from the Army that forces him to decide whether to obey orders and return to combat - or make another decision and live with the consequences.
