Description

Daylight Music - evening sessions: - a cosy Sunday night in the Union Chapel Bar.

Experience Daylight as never before as we take the music and ethos of the Daylight Music platform and extend it into the Sunday Evening.

Better than the Antiques Roadshow and with a varied selection of fantastic live music; this is your chance to share a familial end of the weekend pint, read the papers or just relax in the cosy environs of the Union Chapel bar.

Live music from Songdog, Arch Garrison + Stephen Cracknell (Memory Band)
and DJ sets from Lenny George

On Songdog:

Songdog are really all about the songs. Dark, literate songs sung from the prison-cell of the heart (from where you can sometimes see just as far as from the top of any mountain). Lyndon & Karl are from Blackwood, Wales, Dave from Dundee, Scotland. They self-released their debut album 'The Way Of The World', followed by 'Haiku' (originally released through Evangeline). Songdog signed to One Little Indian in 2005, releasing the critically-acclaimed 'The Time Of Summer Lightning' (2005) & 'A Wretched Sinner's Song' (2008). They are currently working on a new album, due early 2010.

On Arch Garrison:

From the makers of the highly acclaimed North Sea Radio Orchestra comes the equally unique Arch Garrison - songs about vapour, roman roads, ditches and mounds accompanied by guitars, organs and an amount of 'oohs'. The debut album 'King of the Down' will be released in the new year on Double Six Records.

On Stephen Cracknell:

'I am a composer, producer and arranger, release computer music as Gorodisch, lead The Memory Band and make up a quarter of a new band called The Accidental. I compose music for film and television, was a founder member of Trunk Records and run the Hungry Hill label in conjunction with Spinney Records. From time to time I've been known to perform with others artists playing guitar, bass and whatever comes to hand.'

n.b. Dom Coyote [have had to pull out due to illness]
