This foundations course provides an overview of copyright issues that impact higher education. Participants will develop a framework for addressing ownership of distance education course materials, e-reserves, fair use, the TEACH Act, open access initiatives, licensing mechanisms and processes, assessment of institutional copyright policies, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and development of campus copyright awareness.
