The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is delighted to announce that the South West Lifeguard Appeal has been selected as the ‘Official Charity Appeal of the Year’ for the 2010 Bath Half Marathon!
This well-established run takes place on Sunday 7 March 2010 and all funds raised through ‘Team RNLI’ will go towards the South West Lifeguard Appeal, where we are aiming to raise £500,000 towards the cost of running the lifeguard service.
We are looking for a team of 100 runners, double the amount we had this year, to help raise £18,000 for RNLI lifeguards. As you are aware, the RNLI relies on voluntary contributions and so it is only with the help of supporters like you, that we are able to provide our Lifeguards with the most modern and efficient equipment and training to continue saving lives at sea and on the beaches.
In return for all your hard work, all our runners will receive our ‘Team RNLI' pack, which includes our RNLI Lifeguard running vest, training t-shirt and an exclusive RNLI kit bag!
At the RNLI we will do everything we can to support runners with training and fundraising and we would love to have you on board.
