HERE COMES PEACE CAMP II
In line with MODEL ITU Pillar TWO on Peace and security- pillar designed to promote youth involvement in promotion of peace and security, cyber peace , cross cultural dialogues, debates , we have organized a bigger and better and fun filled children’s peace camp slated for Saturday February 28, 2009 between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm.
The Camp, THEMED: PROMOTING PEACE AND NATIONAL COHESION; CATCH IT YOUNG, targeting children aged 5-13 years will be held at Kenyatta University Catholic Chaplaincy compound, Ndingi Nzeki Hall , (http://www.kucatholic.org/), and will We are very grateful for the second sponsorship and hosting in a row by the KU Catholic Community
This year, will focus on interactive games, music, competitions, use of ICT and performances to bring the message home. We have successfully partner with the famous Kenyatta University Travelling Theater(KUTT) and the VIDES Kenya.
Our aim here is to promote interactive, understanding and tolerance at early age objective to enhance peace building especially in light with negative ethnicity that the 2007 post elections violence brought among Kenyans, young and old.
There will be lots of fun, competitions, prizes, face painting, dances, plays .
