Help us reach out to retailers like Whole Foods, Crate & Barrel, Best Buy, Nordstrom, etc. (We'll create other events for other companies in the next few days). I urge you to pass this message along to your friends and family in need, too.
I'm trying to gain sponsorship for our organization, and since this country is all about voting with your dollar, I have a plan: I'd like to collect an email from all of you, and I ask that you pass it along to your friends in debt. Here's what I want you to answer:
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $____ on __________________ at Whole Foods every week. These are items I don't get to purchase on account of owing so much to my lenders."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $___ on ____________________ at Best Buy every week. These are items I don't get to purchase on account of owing so much to my lenders."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $____ on ___________________ at Nordstrom every week. These are items I don't get to purchase on account of owing so much to my lenders."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $___ on a __________________ car. These are items I don't get to purchase on account of owing so much to my lenders."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $ ____ on _____________________ at Crate & Barrel."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would spend $___ on ______________________ at Baby's R Us."
"If I didn't have to pay my student loan debt, I would splurge and spend $___ on ______________________ at ________________ store (try not to make it too obscure)."
If you don't shop at any of these stores, please do not fill out the form. Just fill out whichever one makes sense to you and then EMAIL IT TO ME. :)
When you do so, please sign with either your full name and where you're located (ex. Cryn Johannsen, Washington, D.C.) or partial (if you prefer some anonymity - ex. Cryn J., Washington, D.C.)
