Description
One Iowa, the state of Iowa’s largest LGBT advocacy organization is hosting a History in the Heartland reception in Iowa City on August 27, 2009. The organization worked hand in hand with Lambda Legal to lay the groundwork for this April’s historic Supreme Court decision granting the freedom to marry to gay and lesbian couples.
As One Iowa intensifies efforts to protect marriage equality in Iowa, the organization is hosting a series of History in the Heartland receptions across the country. The aim is to raise awareness about the ongoing campaign and secure the resources needed to successfully defend the historic ruling.
