Dance on Glass continues its rich vein of form by bringing you two of 2009‚s breakthrough stars Esser and Solo who will be manning the desks and making their Westbury DJ debut at this month‚s dance-indie monthly Dance On Glass on Friday 9th October.
Often compared to Damon Albarn, 23 year-old Esser has done a rare thing for a UK artist, and we‚re not just talking about trendsetting a new haircut - he‚s actually gone and conquered the States!
His debut album Braveface‚ is full of smart lyrics, insanely catchy hooks and an experimental sound that has created great waves on both sides of the Atlantic. We eagerly look forward to hearing what he has in store for this month‚s Dance On Glass.
Solo is another pioneer at the forefront of the new wave of rhythmically infused house music (it‚s so pioneering, no one has even labelled yet - hopefully it will stay that way!). The Italian globetrotter has a string of high profile remixes under his belt, in addition to his original tracks Afreaka‚ Midgets in Brick Lane‚ and People Who Smokes‚. Often working with Mowgli, and Bastard Batty Bass‚ Hannah Holland, Solo ˆ who describes his sound as Midget House‚ - has recently been signed up to Claude Von Strokes label.
Solo will also be putting together an exclusive Dance On Glass‚ mixtape, which will be given away on the night, or available to download FOR FREE FROM HERE.....
